Well as you might have noticed, this blog is not what it once was that is because I’ve moved most of the site over to its own domain.

You can now view this blog in full at http://nyxstium.info there are still some bugs with the site that I am working out, but for the most part the blog is now 99% up and running as I’d like it to be with all the information from this blog. Just have some minor entries to finish moving over then it will be 100% complete.

Well we where just going to do exploring downtown today, Norman and I. But the Queen Streetcar had to make a detour down along King St. and cause it had to do that we ended up going by the St. Lawrence Market, a place that I’ve been telling him about for over a year now, but we’ve not been able to get to, till today.

It was his very first time at such a place, he’d never been to any place like it, which to me is a little strange, but I guess these indoor markets are not as common as I thought them to be.

It was fun showing him around the butcher and fishmonger stalls that are set up there, not to mention the fruit sellers and other market stalls. He said that he was like in sensory overload for all the new things that I was showing him, not to mention the low cost of much of the foods there, from Beef to Venison he was taking it all in. We even managed to pick up some first stuff form one of the fishmongers – got some maple salmon, seaweed salad and octopus salad as well. Plus from one of the butchers we got 4 sticks of lamb which we are planning on having sometime this week over the BBQ if we can manage to do so.

Well its been a long time since I had a 9 to 5 type work to go to, and it is frustrating to say the least that I don’t have it as yet to go back to.

I might not have liked the getting to the office or leaving it, but I enjoyed being at a work environment and in general working for that constant paycheck.

I know that harper and what not say that employment is on the rise here in Canada, and that more jobs have been made in Ontario, and even more in Toronto itself. Well I for one would LOVE to see where!

I’ve spent since 2003 sending out resumes from one end of the country to the other end, and save for a handful of replies I’ve gotten nothing to speak of, some odd work here and there that helped put a small dent into my CC debt that only got taken over at a later date more incurred debt, mostly costs towards getting insulin and other medical stuff.

Oh well its life and I am happy that I have it, but sending out resume after resume without much response is getting to be an issue, my skills that I once had though there are not horned on the newest technology that oh so many companies are now asking for, and I can’t upgrade what I have to re-horn those skills without the funds to get the software (and no getting it though illegal means is not a workable option to me). Same with going back to college and updating some of my skills, it can’t happen without the funds to do so.

I know I am not the only one in my field from college who hasn’t gotten work in the field we took at school, but it does feel like I’m the only one who’s not had steady work of any sort since college ended.

I know I have my own business and all and that I am trying to generate leads for work it seems that people in general wont as much as they can get for as little as they can get it for, yes I now its the old getting a good bargain or similar that is in play, but its like what happened to hiring someone who can actually do the work with quality?

Sighs, I know its how things are and I know I don’t need to take it personal and I try not to do so, but at times like now its hard to keep that in mind.

I know that he will be back home soon, but it doesn’t make his being away from me any easer knowing that.

This immigration issue that we have been going though has not been an easy road, but its not necessary one that either of us would change, some areas of it yes we would, such as doing it in country instead of out of country, since we might have well dun that for all the out of country part hasn’t worked as we’d hoped it would (did it cause we both thought he had work to go back to, but turned out not to be the case).

You’d think after being at a place for 12 plus years that they would do as they said, take him back when he returns from getting married, but that wasn’t the case they never took him back as he was told they would. On top of it getting more work has proven to be an issue, since he’s got his status pending for to come up here the potential employers have thrown that in his face that he will not stay long enough to be employable by them, yet he would have been able to work for any of those company for close to a year since that’s how long we’ve been married. Those places lucked out on a great and loyal employee.

Sighs, and I myself have had little luck in getting full time employment myself, I get work here and there on a freelance basis, but with all that has been going on I myself haven’t been able to find full time employment, not even part time … which is disheartening since I keep getting told that there is no reason why I shouldn’t have full time work by now -oh well something is out there, I know it!

It will be good to have him here on a perm basis and being able to really start our life together as a married couple should be able to do so, its just a matter of time before we will be able to do so.

Yes it has been some time since I actually sat down and did some real good old fashioned blogging, been doing a lot more twittering as many of you can see just by looking at my “blog”, ya its become a collection of twitters over anything else.

I have over the past year had several times when I was going to get back into blogging and slow down ion the twittering, but each time I thought about it and each time I tried to do it – well you see the result.

I’m not going to say that I am going to blog more, I am going to try and post more blog entries yes, but I know for a fact that I am going to be twittering up a storm from time to time because I’ve gotten into the habit of doing so in the past year, and on top of that it is a way of sharing my spur of the moment thoughts comments and what not without logging into my blog and posting an entry which doesn’t have much substance to it.

Well here is to making an effort to blog more in addition to the twitterings.

Well its been a time since I had much to spend on being on Spark, beyond entering data (cardio and food)

The few teams that i am leader of have unfortunately suffered to degrees, though one I am thankful to say has a co-leader who is doing a good job in keeping it going in my leave.

At times I wonder why I am a member of so many teams here on SP, yet when I go though them to clean them out at times I just can’t do it since something will catch my attention and for that I’ll stay, yet if no activity has been recorded for the year I will drop it (even 6 months depending on the team). I do wish that I had more time for SP in my life as I once had, but its not the case.

Oh well one does play catch up with various things in life and SP is just one more of those things that at times I am playing catch up with

Well for the start of the month I am now 2 pounds down, which means 3 pounds down for the year!

Nice to see the scale going down, and to see that I am now getting into some clothing that I wasn’t able to get into before!

Yes I know that 2 pounds doesn’t seem like a lot for a loss to many but for me its a good loss, considering the PCOS and being in Menopause and how those two conditions effect weight loss in general and the ability to get the weight off specifically.

Well I hope everyone has had a good February, and I hope March proves to be a great month for everyone!
